on the fence

Coaching will give you a layer of solidarity and skill-sharing beyond your local setting. Sharing your journey with a coach can help you orient, re-orient and fortify for the season ahead, and learn to draw on the resources of God in fresh ways.

I make coaching available to a small number of people each year. I do this as a 12-month package of one-to-one ministry delivered face-to-face or live online. Over 12 months we will meet once a month for a 60-90 minute session with a review at 6 months. The first session is free of charge to enable us to assess whether my Ministry Coaching package will best meet your needs.

After 33 years in ministry I count it a joy and privilege to support those serving in leadership and ministry positions, and so serve the wider work of the Kingdom of God.

We would like to say thank you, Paul, for all you have done for us; for your guidance and wisdom, for getting us into a position to know each other and be able to work in a collaborative and inclusive way – and for always leading us by example. You have equipped us with the tools needed to operate in a way that is much more effective and considerate, and have brought us to a point where we are ready to work effectively with a new Minister. Again, thank you for everything. (Wardens and Church Council of St Simon’s Church, Kaleen-Giralang ACT).

I thank the Father for Paul’s ministry…his grace-filled, calm and Spirit-filled leadership…[and his] attentive ear to the leading of the Lord…The Father has bestowed many precious gifts upon Paul – [gifts] that only the Father can give…Truly a wonderful man of God. (Tina Kennedy – Pastoral Search Team – Churches of St Barnabas, St Michael & All Angels, Charnwood-Hall ACT)

Paul is a good strategic thinker – a steady hand – willing to tackle harder organisational challenges – [and] with a skill-set that includes strong Biblical engagement and a track record of leading groups to navigate difficult transitions. (Kirk Delaney & Greg Trainor – National Director and Director of Training – Vineyard Churches Australia)

Paul’s special leadership ability was most needed at a time when our church was in the process of recovering from a divisive event. Paul was able to relate to all parties in the parish. His proactive approach to the situation… was tireless, empathetic, respectful, supportive and effective and has been a focus in reuniting members of the community.  Paul’s quiet but affirming leadership style inspires confidence. We have no hesitation in recommending him.  (Wardens, St Stephen’s Church Kambah ACT)

Paul has a gentle but firm God-ward focus in all his conversations and deliberations. His students come away wiser and deeper. (Mal Prior – as Chair of the Board of Directors for Unity College Australia.)

I am delighted that Paul’s vision, ability and drive for the Kingdom have been recognised. (Bishop David Pytches, former Vicar St Andrew’s Chorleywood, New Wine and Soul Survivor)

Thanks guys, you are such a blessing. We are pretty young…sometimes it’s a good thing. And sometimes we beg God for years of wisdom! Love you guys in Jesus’ name!
(Aaron and Morgan Snow – Austin, Texas, USA)

You have patiently developed your heart and mind to be a great instrument for Christ…The care and focus that God has given your mind amazes me…blended with humour, pastoral commitment and warmth.  A rare combination….A prophetic edge, certainly, gazing into the hidden things…You choose your words carefully and prayerfully – because you are faithful they hit their mark.

Thank you for the character you have built & the time you have spent with God; your calm, your insight and thoughtfulness, your warmth & care, your servant heart, observing eye, keen mind, teaching spirit, and your walk of faith…[and] the very way you speak. Truly a pleasure to sit at your feet…A great support. A real rock. God is clearly with you. (Lachlan Macquarie Institute Interns)
